Child Safety Standards

1. Our position

Companion maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and any child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Such content and conduct are strictly prohibited and have no place in our service.

This page sets out our published child safety standards in accordance with Google Play requirements and applicable law.

2. Minimum age

Companion is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to register and use the App. Account creation by minors is prohibited under our Terms of Use.

3. What is prohibited

The following are strictly prohibited in the App, among others:

• any material that depicts or promotes child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including CSAM;
• grooming, harassment, or the solicitation of minors for sexual acts or sexualized communication;
• the sexualization of minors in text, images, video, or any other material;
• attempts to contact minors for unlawful purposes.

4. How to report a violation

You can report content or behavior that threatens child safety directly in the app, without leaving it:

• Report a user or map marker: open the profile or marker → menu → "Report" → select a reason.
• Report a message: long-press the message in a chat → "Report".
• Block: block the user from their profile or chat to stop all interaction.

5. What we do with reports

• child-safety reports are handled as a priority, typically within 24 hours of receipt;
• content that violates these standards is removed, and offending accounts are banned;
• where CSAM is identified, we act to remove it and report it to the competent regional and national authorities in accordance with applicable law;
• we preserve information and materials (evidence) related to the violation and hand them over to law-enforcement authorities where required by law.

6. Legal compliance

The App complies with applicable child protection laws and provides a way to report child safety violations to regional and national authorities. We adhere to Google Play's Child Safety Standards (CSAE) policy.
